A litigator, not a letter-writer
Noah Kane is a consumer-protection litigator who has represented hundreds of plaintiffs in individual and class actions, recovering six- and seven-figure results for people the financial system had brushed off. He founded Kane Law Firm, LLC because he believed the market for consumer legal services was full of intake mills and light on lawyers who actually try cases.
His practice focuses on the federal consumer statutes that carry real teeth: the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. All are fee-shifting, which is the point — it means an ordinary person can bring a serious case against a serious institution without paying anything out of pocket.
Noah is admitted to practice in Maryland, New York, and New Jersey, and in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. He attended the McDonogh School in Owings Mills, MD, and is a graduate of Duke University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. His scholarship and insight on consumer-finance regulation and civil rights have appeared in American Banker and the Cardozo Law Review.
"If they wronged you, they should pay — not you. That's the whole practice in one sentence."
MDConsumer.com is the Maryland home for that practice—a sister site to NJConsumer.com, the New Jersey hub—built to serve consumers in Baltimore (where Noah was born and raised), Annapolis, the DC suburbs, and every county in between.
Consultations are free and confidential. Most cases are handled on contingency with fee-shifting to the defendant. Talk to a real attorney.
